Understand your users.
Decide with certainty.

I help product teams understand the behaviors behind their metrics, identify what's blocking adoption and retention, then turn those insights into concrete decisions.

Product challenges

The questions no one settles in your team

A backlog full of assumptions, a roadmap decided on gut feeling: here's what costs product teams the most.

📉

Why are your users churning?

The dashboard shows the symptom, never the cause. Without the "why", there's no way to fix the right lever.

🧩

Why is this feature struggling to find adoption?

Approved in a meeting, never tested with real users. Months of dev work for a feature that never takes off.

🗣️

Who really decides: the data, or the loudest voice in the room?

Everyone has an opinion, no one has the data. The roadmap moves forward on convictions, not observed facts.

🎯

Does this new product bet answer a real need?

A new segment, a new offer: the risk is taken blind, without validating the real need.

My method

Unblock and clarify your product decisions

Less talk, more product. The goal: every study turns into a decision, not another report.

📊
Business Research

Tied to a measurable business goal

Churn, activation, pricing, retention: I start from a metric you want to move, and trace it back to the product cause.

Strategic Research

Exploratory, ahead of a product bet

New offer, new segment, repositioning: I validate the real need before you invest.

My approach
🎯

Research → decision

Every study starts from a decision to make, not a method to check off.

🔍

Facts, not opinions

What your users do, not what they say they'd do.

Actionable deliverable

Ready to plug into your next sprint, not an audit that sits in a drive.

Frequently asked questions

Why not hire in-house?+
A junior researcher takes 3-6 months to hire and 3 months to ramp up, for €45k/year + overhead. I'm available starting tomorrow, only for the time you actually need.
Do timelines vary a lot?+
Yes, it depends on the method. A prototype test: 3-7 days. A survey: 1-2 weeks. A qualitative study with recruitment: 2-4 weeks.
We already have tools (Hotjar, Maze…).+
Tools collect. I turn that into decisions. A heatmap doesn't tell you why users leave — a well-run interview does.
How do we work together?+
On your preferred tool — Slack, Trello, Notion, Linear. I adapt to your environment. Short brief, and I take it from there.
Do you work through an agency or a freelance platform?+
Yes, no problem. I work with recruitment firms, consulting agencies and freelance platforms — day rate and terms are discussed directly with them.
A question that's not here?+
Email me directly at delachaise.cedric@gmail.com, I reply within 24h.
